Sharjah Media City (Shams) is a free zone located in the UAE. Launched after an Emiri Decree in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Shams has established itself as a leader in media and creativity in the region. As a digitally born free zone authority, we provide cost-effective solutions that help startups, SMEs, companies, and freelancers establish themselves and kickstart their entrepreneurial journey.

Our foundation is built on a rich history and visionary leadership. We are a 2 million m² multi-use media city situated in Al Messaned in Sharjah. We have opened our doors to talent from across borders, offering an infrastructure of international standards and a range of key resources to produce content of the highest quality. Sharjah Media City (Shams) was established in 2017 as a free zone dedicated to supporting the media sector and promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship, in alignment with the emirate's ambitious vision.
