Sharjah Media City (Shams) accepts all major Credit Cards.

Can I pay via installments? minus icon plus icon

Currently, we only accept 100% upfront payments. However, banks may convert your payment to a monthly instalment plan.

What will be the address of my company? minus icon plus icon

Your company address will be Sharjah Media City (Shams).

Can I get my own P.O. Box? minus icon plus icon

Yes, you can. An annual fee is applicable for the service. Contact our concierge service desk for more information.

Can I make changes to my activity/activities later? minus icon plus icon

Yes, you may change your business activities even after you have incorporated your company.

Can I use my existing visa to incorporate a company? minus icon plus icon

Yes, and we do not require a NOC from your existing sponsor.

What is the process of opening a bank account for the company? minus icon plus icon

A list of banks with their contact details will be provided. Sharjah Islamic Bank and RAK Bank representatives are present in the Shams office to answer your queries.

Is a Local Partner required to incorporate my company in Shams? minus icon plus icon

No, you will have 100% ownership of your company.

Am I authorised to own other companies in other Emirates using the Shams License? minus icon plus icon

You can open a branch or subsidiary subject to the approval of relevant Authorities.

How will VAT affect license holders? minus icon plus icon

Pursuant to Federal Decree-Law No. (8) of 2017 on Value Added Tax, companies registered in Sharjah Media City (Shams) will be required to register for VAT. Shams will be offering VAT registration services for its clients. Log on to shams.ae/vat to check your eligibility and register. Shams will also be levying 5% VAT on certain products and services.

You can obtain an Import/Export code from any UAE port.

Does Sharjah Media City (Shams) provide a Chamber of Commerce certificate with the license? minus icon plus icon

We do not provide it however you can apply for a Certificate from the Chamber of Commerce directly.
